ResourceCo Asia (M) Sdn Bhd

ResourceCo Asia (M) Sdn Bhd established its operations in Malaysia in October 2010 and in May 2011 committed to an exclusive fuel supply arrangement with Lafarge Malaysia. Lafarge is one of the world leaders in cement manufacturing.
Recently, successful trials were undertaken following which ResourceCo Asia (M) Sdn Bhd constructed a purpose built facility in Ipoh to manufacture Process Engineered Fuel (PEF) for Lafarge. Built on a similar platform to the PEF operation in Australia, the facility has a scheduled capability to manufacture up to 50,000 tonnes of PEF per annum.
The fuel generated from the facility will co-fire the Lafarge Kanthan and Rawang cement kilns, reducing their reliance on fossil fuels.

Recently, successful trials were undertaken and the fuel generated from the facility will co-fire the Lafarge Kanthan and Rawa cement kilns in the Ipoh region, reducing their reliance on fossil fuels in the production of cement. The new facility is expected to be fully operational in mid-December 2011.
Built on a similar platform to the PEF operation in Australia, the facility has a scheduled capability to manufacture up to 50,000 tonnes of raw material per annum into Process Engineered Fuel.
Products
The PEF manufactured at the Ipoh facility is required to meet Lafarge's stringent requirements on volume, calorific value, sizing, chloride content and heavy metals content.
Its use will benefit end-users in two ways:
- The energy replacement value from utilising Process Engineered Fuel instead of traditional fossil fuels.
- The carbon and renewable energy benefits:
- Through reduced fossil fuel use.
- The reduction in landfill emissions.
- Renewable energy certificates obtained.
