ResourceCo has established an exciting new joint venture company to take the Groups Alternative Fuel technology and expertise directly into the Asian markets.

Resourceco Asia Pte Ltd (“ResourceCo Asia”) is a joint venture company domiciled in Singapore. Readymix has developed market leading businesses in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam. Annual Group turnover exceeds SGD100m and staffing exceeds 600.

Readymix as joint venture partners bring a multitude of local Asian experience in quarrying and related products and services as well as over 20 years of experience in Asian business practises. Readymix’s strong background in quarrying provided for many cultural similarities to that of ResourceCo which has ensured the basis of a solid partnership.

ResourceCo Asia will focus on the production of Refuse Derived Fuel (“RDF”) from a multitude of waste sources. Critical to any RDF business model is securing a relationship with the right end user of the RDF product. In Australia, ResourceCo’s key end user relationship is with Adelaide Brighton Limited, whom provide an important end use for RDF, as a substitute fuel source in their cement kiln.

In Australia, there are a total of 7 cement kilns whilst throughout Asia the number exceeds 200. ResourceCo Asia hopes to leverage off its historic expertise and the sheer volume of cement manufactured in the region. ResourceCo Asia has quickly identified the increasing need for Asian cement companies to find alternative fuel sources to traditional fossil fuels.

ResourceCo Asia has been fortunate to secure a partnership with a leading global cement company as an end user and partner in Asian RDF manufacture. The global cement company operate cement plants throughout the world and in the Asian region countries include (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Japan, South and North Korea).

ResourceCo Asia has established a full time presence in Singapore and will produce its first tonne of RDF early next year, with an agreement in place to roll RDF production plants out throughout the region.

ResourceCo Asia, as an Alternative Fuel specialist are, in addition, currently exploring a number of alternative fuel sources besides RDF for end use in Asian cement kilns. These waste streams are secured from a variety of different sources and keep the ResourceCo brand at the forefront of global recycling and resource recovery.
